Cloudy, with a chance…

Hey, friends ~

Sometimes when the forecast calls for rain,
it can result in disappointment and curtailed plans.

But this weekend, after a so-sweet family visit yesterday, I welcome the clouds and showers today and grant myself a creative respite, lounging with the kitties and daydreaming…

Psychologist and author, Daniel Goleman, reminds us, “Daydreaming incubates creative discovery.” And it’s true, I feel full of creative curiosity just sitting still for a while. It surprises me to witness my Self in her natural state, resting and playing with fanciful ideas, colors, projects. No commitments, plans, or goals. Only free allowing.

This feeling reminds me of our recent Gentle Journal Hour. Many of us found ourselves crafting poetry in our writing spaces and were delighted to witness our own creations appearing before our eyes and to sample each other’s, too!

Our Gentle Journal Hours continue to feel both generative and restful, served up with a generous helping of creative freedom. Hoping to see you the first Wednesday of each month in 2022 at 7 pm ET.

I don’t know if you’d label me an introvert – or extrovert – depending upon how you know me. I can seem to be both! But whatever type of person loves a quiet rainy day, that’s me.

Sun can be an insistent companion, “Come out and play!”

Rain says, “Snuggle in, take a break.”

Today, the cats and I rest.
